Buy.at suffers tracking issues

by Brian Turner

Any affiliates with buy.at will have had a few emails this week warning of tracking issues and programme suspensions brought about because of this.

Campaigns I’ve seen suspension emails for include the RAC, Prudential home insurance, and Legal and General.

Interestingly enough, a number of affiliate programs moved to buy.at after tracking issues with Tradedoubler last year, so the current issues could be potentially damaging for buy.at.

Hopefully we’ll see the issue addressed, because the number of affiliate programs in a number of sectors has shrunk drastically since the credit crunch hit, so affiliates are unlikely to welcome tracking issues on those which remain.

    Hi Brian,

The nature of an affiliate network means that at any one time we are working with hundreds of merchants partners and sometimes through no fault of the network they will experience tracking problems. These problems can come from the merchant directly or through third party tracking companies (these are both evident in the example merchants you have named above) and as a network buy.at look to work with these parties to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.

buy.at does not have any widespread tracking issues.

I hope this gives a little more clarity on the situation

    Regards
