Telecoms group BT has secured content agreements with HBO and Universal Music Group for its BT Vision IPTV service.

Under the terms of the agreement, HBO will provide BT Vision viewers with a range of programming, including series, mini-series, documentaries and comedy specials not previously shown in the UK.

Universal Music Group will provide video-on-demand music videos on BT Vision. These will also be available on Windows-compatible listening devices via the BT Vision download store.

BT Vision customers will have the option of paying for shows individually or as part of a monthly subscription package.

BT plans to release a schedule of programmes in May and will update it on a weekly basis. It will eventually include all episodes of series such as The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The BT Vision service will be priced from 29p for individual music videos to £2.99 for premium concerts. Pricing for downloads from the BT Download Store is yet to be confirmed.
