Setting up a charity in the UK can be a complex process, not least because the rules are different in Scotland to England and Wales.

A principle complication is that in Scotland the procedures for registering a charitable instituation are changing, and will come under the directorship of the OSCR in April 2006.

The big problem is that the OSCR will probably not be able to process applications properly for a few months after goiong operational.
