Brandsauce revolutionises brand images
On-line 3D modelling firm, Brandsauce, has developed an innovative technique which creates high-quality brand images at a significantly lower cost than traditional product photography.

The online technique also gives a faster turnaround time than traditional methods, and allows the client much more control over the production process.

Brandsauce’s web-based technology converts packaging artwork into a virtual 3D model of a product. This model is an accurate visual representation of the product, which eliminates potential faults that would show up on a traditional photograph, such as scratches or misaligned labels.

Brandsauce’s clients can access the 3D model of their product via a web browser, and manipulate it to show it at any angle and from any distance. They can then download a photo-quality image directly to their PC.

The process can save companies up to 50 per cent on the costs of normal product photography. When the 3D model has been uploaded to Brandsauce’s system, custom images of the product can be delivered to a client within four hours.

The technology has already been used to produce images of well-known products including No More Nails, an adhesive produced by Henkel under the UniBond brand.

Images of No More Nails, produced with Brandsauce’s technology, have been used over the past year in television commercials, magazines, leaflets and point of sale materials.

Henkel’s Senior Product Manager, Craig Turner, commends Brandsauce for the quality of the images, fast turnaround and flexibility.

“As we develop a concept, we often make changes to how it is going to look,” he says, “Brandsauce’s images allow us present to our customers and consumers, high quality imagery before a finished product has even been produced”.

As well as the web-based on-demand service, Brandsauce also provides an Enterprise Edition for higher volume users. This is installed locally and allows unlimited use at a fixed price.
