ViewSonic PJD5352 projector aimed at business user
by Darren Allan
ViewSonic has announced a new projector, designed with portability and the business user in mind.
The PJD5352 is a short-throw projector which can produce a 60 inch screen from a distance of just one metre. It’s also lightweight and portable, tipping the scales at 2.5Kg.
With a brightness of 2600 Lumens, and a resolution of 1024 x 768, the image produced is a 4:3 affair.
The unit also supports a frame rate of up to 120Hz, meaning that it’s fully 3D ready, providing you get yourself the requisite silly specs, of course.
At a retail price of £600, this is probably the cheapest way you can find to jump on the current 3D picture bandwagon, although the 4:3 image and lack of an HDMI port aren’t ideal.
But as we’ve already mentioned, this projector is more aimed at business users, with other features such as a silent running “eco mode”, which produces just 26db of noise to ensure there are no distractions during your presentation.
The eco mode also grants the unit a longer bulb life, with 6,000 hours of viewing time promised before you’ll need a change.
“With the PJD5352, we’ve combined all of the main features that business users need to be able to give fantastic presentations, no matter where they are,” commented James Coulson, European Marketing Manager, ViewSonic Europe.
“The PJD5352′s short throw capabilities mean it can easily be carried to any meeting room, quickly set up to provide a big, bright image that everyone can see, and then swiftly put away ready for the next presentation.”
The projector will be available later this month.
