Twitter in partnership with Apple’s Ping

Apple hopes to boost its new social music site, Ping, through a deal with Twitter, after an earlier deal with Facebook fell through when Apple refused to agree to Facebook’s terms.
Ping, which is part of iTunes, allows users to follow their favourite bands and artists and recommend songs to friends.
The new partnership will allow posts and reviews in Ping to be tweeted to a users’ Twitter feed with links to the music on iTunes.
The tweets will allow the recipients to play a preview of a song and to link to iTunes in order to purchase or download it.
However this only works if both parties are registered with Ping.
The system will make it much easier for Ping users to invite friends.
