by Darren Allan

ViewSonic has announced that its VX2451MHP-LED is now on sale.

The 24 inch LED display comes in white or black with a stylish and slim design, the unit being 3.6cm deep. The white colour and styling have been designed to complement an Apple Mac, ViewSonic notes.

The VX2451 offers a full HD resolution (1920×1080) display with a claimed 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a 2ms response time which should make it an apt choice for gamers. The rated brightness level is 300cd/m2.

The monitor boasts several intelligent display technologies, and can switch between 4:3 or 16:9 display modes as the source requires. It also adjusts the brightness of its LED backlight intelligently according to the input signal.

A pair of 2.5W speakers are built-in, with connectivity options including the standard DVI, VGA and HDMI 1.3 ports.

The screen itself has an anti-glare coating, and the monitor benefits from a number of ecologically friendly aspects.

ViewSonic notes: “The mercury-free manufacturing process of these LED-backlit displays leaves neither mercury nor any harmful toxins on the products, and the unique ECO Mode can reduce power by 50%.”

“With zero pollution, low power consumption, and low electromagnetic radiation, ViewSonic VX2451mh-LED embodies the aesthetics of an ecological, light display device.”

This is all backed by a three year warranty, and the ViewSonic VX2451MHP-LED is available now with a suggested retail price of £169.
