Broadband reaches 64% of UK

The BBC reports that broadband now accounts for 64% of internet use in Britain.

It also suggests that broadband will continue to become more widely used in Britain as companies compete for the market, and greater broadband speeds are made available.

Additional information on internet use comes from figres from the ONS for December.

Additionally, another report by the Office for National Statistics details internet use by region, and finds that London and the South East are the biggest internet users.

Overall, it the information shows that internet use is fast becoming an integral part of life in the UK.
