It seems that Google’s Desktop might not be enough.
There’s growing interest in Open Source desktop applications, such as Lucene, and Copernic Desktop Search.
PC World ran a comparison and suggests that not only does Copernic seem the stronger product, but that certain security concerns flaw the Google model.
