According to a MiraPoint survey as many as 10% of people are buying products/services from spam e-mails.

In the server, which covered the company’s e-mail server and e-mail security application customers, as many as over 30% of respondents will reportedly click on embedded links in e-mails.

However, the company also reported the surprising response that as many as 10% of those surveyed had actually bought from advertisements in spam e-mails.

Additionally reported was that e-mail spammers are using “unsubscribe” links in spam e-mail primarily to track which e-mail accounts are active, for further targeting.
